Releasing his new album Niklas von Arnold’s persona is clearly hard
to identify, even harder to dress in a certain genre, and hopelessly
indispensable for whom ever is still looking for heroes; that guy who
serves death on a platter for the recognizable, and still revitailzes the
picture of a timeless musical ego.
Relations is as much a textbook on how to relate to the sorrow and
surpass our patalogical desire for true love – the kind of love that we are
all inches from winning but lose in the attempt to conceptualize it. It’s as
much a fairy tale as it is a tool to use when the question of what direction
to go strikes us. In other words; an album presented as as a text book on
love.
Born in the soul, grown up besides pop and raised by the melancholy of
Gothenburg.
